Your actions and results will determine what people think about your opinion.

Before you start making your calls for the day, you must get in the right frame of mind to succeed.
1. Present a WINNING attitude. Do you sound positive?
2. Does the person you're calling believe that you believe in your product?
3. Follow up, many times. Build that relationship.
4. How can your "Pitch" be better? Adjust 1 thing.
5. What makes you UNIQUE or different? Have an answer ready for your prospect.
6. No and Yes are just words. We like them both. Move on.
7. How is your VALUE better than the competition?
8. Put yourself in their shoes. example: Don't call a restaurant owner at 11:30A.M.
9. Target the right people. Who are you calling?

Attracting a winning sales team - 5 easy steps
It's time to put your "Manager / Recruiter" hat on for 3 - 4 minutes.
No more telling old war stories about your sales "Dream Team" of Eskimos in 1998, and how you sold frozen fish to polar bears in the Alaskan tundra! Blah blah blah......
Today is TODAY, and now is NOW. Let's get to work and build a winning team.
1. Success breeds success. Are you successful? People are attracted to winners because it gives them a sense of security when they join a team that knows how to win. Do you offer a winning environment for a new team member? How can you improve this?
2. Dress for success. Do you look like a winner? Would a new employee be inspired to dress better or put more emphasis on personal grooming because of YOUR example? Lead by example.
3. Teach. Coach. Mentor. Are you training your people? Do they know their competition? Do they know their products? Do they know what is going on in their external environment? Education will build confidence amongst your team.
4. Reputation. This is NOT what you think about yourself. What do other people say about you? What does your online reputation look like? Google yourself. Build on it, or fix it...
5. Follow up. Are you pursuing top talent? Do you call people back to explain why they should work with you? Remember, the person you don't hire is the one that hurts your business. Don't let your competition attract someone that you have been speaking to.
Recruiting is about leadership. Look out for the best interest of your new team and ensure their success. The right people can be the difference that you've been looking for in your business.

Selling for people who love to RELAX!

First things first, YOU CAN DO THIS! Yes, you....
You will see your customer many times before you sell them anything. Are you prepared for this relationship? Are you capable of building a lasting relationship with the person that you will be getting into a business transaction with?
(1) Make a plan of what should happen each time you see your potential customer BEFORE seeing that person. Professionalism will get you to the top more quickly.
EXAMPLE:
1. Get documents verified
2. Give them helpful/specific info about the local area
3. Follow up with something personal that they mentioned
4. etc..... Keep building TRUST.
(2) Plan on making multiple calls and speaking to multiple decision makers. Each person will need to be handled in a unique manner. This takes time. KEY word is PLAN.
(3) Can your customer depend on you? Have you shown your customer that they can trust you? In the eyes of a customer, when a sales deal ends a relationship begins. Are you approaching each "deal" as a long-term relationship?
(4) What is your reputation? Are you getting referrals? Is the "word of mouth" good about you?
(5) LISTEN MORE. What are your potential customers trying to tell you? What are their needs? What is their pain? YOU can help them.

5 steps to build a community or tribe of followers online

I'm sure by now you keep hearing the word "tribe" thrown around in different social media training or blogs.... Read the 5 quick tips below that can help any sales professional....
Don't let the wording bother you; let's move forward toward success... :-)
The days of "Telling is Selling" are over. If you are planning on doing any capacity of sales using the internet, I'd suggest that you figure out a way to identify a community of people that like you. How do you do that? Here are a few steps that can get you going immediately after reading this blog.
1. Get to know the people that are part of your social media profiles. You do NOT need 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 follwers or likes!!!! OK!?!!? Sheesh. Your mission is to get 1,000 true fans. Start with 10, then try for 100, then 1,000... This is very hard!
2. Set aside time to engage people personally. 30 minutes per day to "Build relationships" online. This is a very easy and affordable task that can be outsourced to save time, but be careful to choose a person that understands your message.
3. SHARE your followers content! Don't be afraid to praise your followers work, comment on things that they are proud of, and wish people a happy birthday as you get reminders to do so.
4. Have a GOAL. Define "what is a fan" or "what is a customer" so you can know when a person has been admitted to your tribe. What MUST a person do to "level up" with you?
5. Use social media to your advantage. We live in a time in history when your customers are telling on themselves. EXAMPLE: Figure out WHO is your customer and try to find that type of person on Pinterest. That person probably has a "Board" of exactly what they love, what they want, or what actually motivates them. This is very valuable information to you.

Do not get online and waste time. Set goals, create a short list of tasks that need to be accomplished, and have fun talking to your people. Give them valuable information. How can you make your followers feel like they're not just another number?

This is a short blog to help sales people discover how to be more successful in any career that they are in. The most valuable trait any individual can posses that will ensure their success is SELF-DISCIPLINE. Most of the time we know what we are supposed to be doing, but instead we waste time on non-income producing activities.
It's ok, we can get better. Progress is better than change!
1. You MUST have a goal. If you don't have a target, it will be hard to hit it.
2. Success leaves tracks. Follow what successful people do around you.
3. Nature is neutral. If you do the work, you will be rewarded. Nature doesn't care about your gender, race, religion, or creed.
4. WHO do you want to become? There are plenty of studies and books about many different types of people. Seek the knowledge of how they became successful in your chosen career field.
5. All skills are learnable. Many things that were relevant 20 years ago are no longer relevant today. You must keep learning and accepting change around you. What skill do you want to learn next? You are probably one skill away from doubling your income.
6. What does your perfect future look like in 5 years? Yearly income, Family, Living situation, Career, etc? Paint your picture.
7. You can EXCEL if you LOVE it! Do you love helping people, making money, using technology? What is your thing? A passion for something can change with your emotions, but the thing that you LOVE is your gift that you can choose to share. It shows true authenticity.
8. Everyone at the top 10% of your field was not even in your field at some point. Nobody is better or smarter than you. It takes 5-7 years to really learn critical sales skills. Be patient.
9. Seek a successful MENTOR until you find one willing to teach you what they know.
10. Write down 10 goals that you want to accomplish. From your list of 10 goals which one would you want to accomplish in 24 hours if you could? That IS your goal. What are the steps needed to achieve your goal?
